ExEgypt offers its participants a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience Egypt. ExEgypt Winter Schools offers meticulously designed scientific programs for Medical, Pharmaceutical, Dental, Physiotherapy and Nursing students.

Each scientific program includes lectures, group discussions, and hands-on clinical experience.
Moreover, it has an extraordinary daily Social Program, where our participants travel and discover four different Egyptian cities from East to West, including Cairo, Port Said, Siwa Oasis, and Alexandria.

Main Host city: Ismailia, Egypt
Other cities that will be visited: are Cairo, Port Said, Siwa Oasis, and Alexandria.
What is it all about?
12 accredited hours scientific program where participants can choose to attend one of our accredited programs:
1) Emergency Program: In this course, you will attend lectures discussing the most relevant topics in Emergency Medicine, including the ABCDE approach and Acute Coronary Syndrome. You will also attend hands-on clinical rounds in the emergency department, where you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned, such as history taking, performing hands-on examinations, and interpreting X-ray films and ECG traces. For those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in different specialties.
2) Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases Program: Participants will attend lectures on important topics in tropical medicine and infectious diseases relevant in Egypt, including hepatitis and schistosomiasis. You will also have the chance to take a history from patients and perform hands-on examinations. You will also visit the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit, and for those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in different specialties.
3) Dentistry/Maxillofacial Program: Participants will attend lectures and learn about important topics in Dentistry and Maxillofacial, including maxillofacial fractures. You will attend clinical rounds at our plastic surgery department and attend a dental clinic to observe all types of procedures. For those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in plastic and reconstructive surgery, dental surgeries, and different specialties.
4) Pharmaceutical Program: Participants will attend lectures on important topics in Clinical Pharmacy, including hepatitis and its treatment, schistosomiasis, and arthropods. You will attend sessions at our parasitology lab to learn about the most common parasites in Egypt and have the chance to see the parasites and their eggs on slides under a microscope. You will also visit a local pharmacy and learn about the system our local pharmacies follow.
5) Radiology Program: Participants will attend lectures on important topics in diagnostic radiology, including interpreting X-rays, plain radiography, and CT scans. You will also have the chance to learn how to perform The Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST) Ultrasound.
6) Nursing Program: Participants will attend lectures on important topics in nursing, including critical care, operation theater techniques, etc. You will attend clinical rounds and learn about different types of injection (SC, IM, IV), cannulation, and blood samplings like ABG, VBG, and ECG electrode placement. You will also attend operation theaters, ICU, and inpatient wards and observe our professional nursing teams
7) Physiotherapy Program: Participants will attend lectures on important topics in physiotherapy, including foundations of anatomy and clinical practice, injury and rehabilitation, and motor control. You will attend clinical practices and learn about manual therapy, massage, stretching, posture correction, and individualized exercise.
*Students will have the privilege of performing a lot of hands-on examinations and dealing with a lot of patients, which will enhance their clinical skills*.
8) Workshops: two optional workshops will be organized upon request from our participants
- Advanced Trauma Life Support
- Basic stitching skills workshop
Social Program:
Daily Socio-Cultural outings and parties in addition to the extraordinary trips to:
Cairo: Two-day trip
Port Said: One-day trip
Siwa Oasis: Three-day trip
Alexandria: Two-day trip upon request
